An overcast morning with a gentle south-westerly blowing, temperatures in high single figures. A female Goosander Mergus merganser was on Village Lake resting on the island directly in front of east hide. A Corn Bunting Emberiza calandra was in North Hedge. The drake Mandarin Aix galericulata was in its favoured spot on Carp Lake. A Green Sandpiper Tringa ochropus flew over Dryham Ings and landed on the Reservoir’s southern bank. A pair of Stonechat Saxicola rubicola were on Cell B of Dryham Ings. Kingfisher Alcedo atthis was on Main Lake and a Grey Wagtail Motacilla cinerea flew south over the lane near the feeders.
