North Cave Wetlands – 09/06/2019

A sunny start to the morning before clouding over, a gentle south-westerly wind blowing. Temperature peaking at 17 degrees C.

A few new species found on this visit, the highlight being Oxybelus uniglumis Common Spiny Digger Wasp found in the north-west corner. True Bugs Cixius nervosus found near the Maize Field and Oncopsis alni found on Alder along the western path were the other two new species. Lots of species were new for the year (NFY), see list below, with Urophora stylata the first time I’ve recorded this species on the reserve.
