North Cave Wetlands – 10/11/2019

A mainly sunny morning with a light north-easterly breeze, temperature around 8 degrees C.

A few inverts. found, mainly along Dryham Lane included Chilocorus renipustulatus Kidney-spot Ladybird, Coccinella septempunctata 7-spot Ladybird, Sympetrum striolatum Common Darter and Piezodorus lituratus Gorse Shieldbug. Bird-wise the drake Anas carolinensis Green-winged Teal was on Village Lake. A Poecile palustris Marsh Tit was along the eastern path. 12 Tringa totanus Redshank were on Island Lake. Finally a Mustela erminea Stoat was active along the northern path.
