North Cave Wetlands – 01/12/2019

A morning of intermittent sun with a light north-westerly breeze. Temperature reaching around five degrees C.

Highlight was the Bittern showing in the reeds on Village Lake below Turret Hide. Coal Tit and Marsh Tit were visiting the Maize Field feeders. 19 Pink-footed Geese were in North Field, with an addition skein of around 120 heading north. Several Siskin were along the western path, whilst the drake Mandarin was on Carp Lake, a Green Woodpecker also around the lake.
